Running Scared - ScrapMuch? Sketch-y Friday Team A REVEAL

Hi there!

TGIF
Today is a BIG day here at Casa Ramirez
It is my Daddy's (aka Papa) BIRTHday and
Santa arrives in Huntsville - YES, it's our Santa Clause Parade
(we are one of the small towns that still do it at night)
....and Roman arrives - our Elf on the Shelf
has a new double sketch
Sketch-y Friday
here is my REVEAL:
Running Scared
Another check off the ol'bucket list!
We did it!! We did the Running Scared Zombie Run
(...and I was...SCARED!! - I am NOT a runner or go to the gym)
but I DID a 5km obstacle run
Left side close-up and you'll see, I used my number with the pins
 Right side close up
 It tells my story!
I used a free cut file from Nicole Nowosad @ Scrapbook and Cards Today
I used the Zombie Font cut file for my title
This is Diana and I, finally getting to the finish line - our first
2014 RUN (...and my last)
we even made it into the local newspaper!!

Here is Laura's fantastic sketch:
ScrapMuch? December Sketch-y
This is what I like to refer to as the "tell-my-story" sketch/layout
here, you have an opportunity to use "all" your photos to tell
your story - done strategically, you really don't need a lot of journal-ing!!

I can't wait to see what YOU do with this sketch

For this sketch, you have a few extra days to get your craft on
You have until December 29th
to play along and LINK up for your
chance to WIN

Thank you for stopping by

Snow day - Sketches4All + Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge

Hi there

I had some time, as we recover from 3 straight SNOW DAY's
I found  a couple of challenges
to keep me warm and allow me to rest from all the snow removal!!
Snow day
These photos were taken in February during our Family Day outting
We met up with our "Muskoka" Family for a day of snowshoeing and a BBQ on the lake
A silhouette cut file title with some twine
I used some acrylic snowflakes along with torn cardstock and Stickles
for the "glistening" snow effect
Snowflake with a button and twine (more Stickles)

Here are the challenges I played along with:
Sketches 4 All
Sharon Bessinger

My Challenge this Month 4+ Pictures Layout, and Twine

I was challenged with this as I had already printed my photos 4x6
(and didn't think to do a double LO - HA!)
then I found this awesome sketch:

Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge
(my first visit)
Nov 15th Sketch Challenge
It was a GREAT start to my Scrappy-Get-Away RETREAT!

BOO! LGS Week 3 - Team A REVEAL

HI there!

Sharing my
Let's Get Sketchy
Team A
REVEAL
BOO!  LGS Week 3
This is my Boy playing around with glow-in-the-dark glasses!
I started with black cardstock and used a White mist to create a
charcoal effect (to blend in with Pink Paislee stickers)
The title is a Silhouette cut file that I corrugated and added
large googly eyes and a chalk marker
my paper straw adds a little emphasis to my title
DIY embelly (button + Fancy Pants Mini Alphas + Cardstock + Glossy Accents)
some chevrons, glasses and twine - perfect!
Our Boy makes us "laugh" my rub-on was a perfect
way to "capture this moment"

Here is the SKETCH by Jenessa:
LGS November Week 3

#Proof he's CUTE - Stuck?! Sketches GDT

Hi there

There is a new sketch up at
with an opportunity to
Guest Design with Laura her very talented team
#Proof he's CUTE
I am a bit of a hoarder and I keep everything - even the proofs
so...if I'm going to keep'em I should scrap'em
This year we were bouncing between 2 proofs
(I used cork chevron pointing to the 2 and a double chevron on our choice)
PERFECT title using proof's  *she winks
with a lot of texture
#Proof he's CUTE
I had my little guy date my layout and add his thumb print!
I used two Little Yellow Bicycle wooden pins
"smile BOY"
(when we travel my son always get referred to as "The BOY" LoL)
I glossy accented number one - with a cork arrow pointing
and used a bracket {5 6} for his age
Fancy Pants stickers to tab Grade 1

Here is the sketch:
Stuck?! Sketches Nov 1st
I kept true to the sketch using Simple Stories Year-o-graphy
the pattern was perfect with newsprint / calendar

LGS Team A REVEAL - OH Coconuts

Hi there

WOW! The 1st Monday in NOVEMBER
and here is my
TEAM A
Let's Get Sketchy
REVEAL
OH Coconuts
It has been cold and snowing (yes I said it)
Nothin' like a little burlap,
with some sunny photos to warm me up.
I masked along the edges of the burlap in coffee ink
Ha!  I this title
(with emphasis on the "nuts" * she winks)
It's a mix of MME wood and cardstock
Another fun Dominican trip layout
(still working on that album)
I journal-ed - my son just HAD to have a fancy drink from a
REAL coconut!!  What this resort to get him one....
They had to run 2 resorts over (as their trees did not have coconuts)
run all the way back and make a yummy drink inside!!
The umbrella makes it's fancy - right?!!

The DIY matching buttons, is a technique shared
by Laura Whitaker
(see all the details at her Blog )
I wanted my buttons to match my Paper.
Perfect for this layout and so easy
This umbrella was a HUGE hit!
